2. Flight Cancellations
- Refundable fares: May be cancelled for a full or partial refund, less any applicable airline penalty fees and our service fee.
- Non-refundable fares: Tickets are non-refundable. You may be eligible for a travel credit or voucher from the airline, subject to their policy. Our service fee is non-refundable.
- 24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation: Bookings made at least 7 days before departure may be cancelled within 24 hours of booking for a full refund with no penalty.
- Airline-initiated cancellations: If an airline cancels your flight, you are entitled to a full refund or rebooking per airline policy. We will assist you at no additional charge.
3. Hotel Cancellations
- Free cancellation rates: Can be cancelled up to the deadline specified in your booking confirmation at no charge.
- Non-refundable rates: No refund is available. The full booking amount is charged at time of reservation.
- Partially refundable rates: A penalty (typically 1–2 nights) applies if cancelled within the specified window. Check your booking confirmation for exact terms.
- Early check-out does not entitle the guest to a refund for unused nights unless agreed in advance.
4. Tour Package Cancellations
Cancellation fees for tour packages are calculated based on how far in advance of departure the cancellation is made:
- 60+ days before departure: Deposit only forfeited (typically 20% of total package cost).
- 30–59 days before departure: 50% of total package cost forfeited.
- 15–29 days before departure: 75% of total package cost forfeited.
- 0–14 days before departure: 100% of total package cost forfeited. No refund.

5. CheapOflights Service Fees
Our booking service fees are non-refundable in all cases, including:
- Voluntary cancellations by the customer.
- Name changes or itinerary modifications.
- Bookings cancelled due to visa refusals or personal circumstances.
Service fees will be clearly disclosed before you confirm any booking.
6. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method.
- Airline refunds typically take 7–20 business days to appear on your statement, depending on the airline and your bank.
- Hotel and tour refunds are generally processed within 5–10 business days.
- We will notify you by email once your refund has been submitted to the supplier.
7. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance at the time of booking. A comprehensive policy can protect you against losses from cancellations due to illness, injury, family emergencies, or other covered events. Ask our team about available insurance options when you book.
